Nest thermostat incompatible RC RH

The Nest thermostat I have only has R. Compatibility checker says it’s incompatible.

Your thermostat uses W, Y, G, R, the jumper between RH and RC is to be ignored.  You have two spare conductor wires, One is pink and the other is orange.  You might want to choose one of those to use as your Common wire. You will need to connect the other end of the cable to the power Common in the air handler.

Is that a jumper? It doesn’t appear to go between the RC and RH

Thanks, I totally missed that the larger red wire was the loop. I thought the larger red wire was two separate wires. lol

@BQ1 , Yes indeed there is a larger diameter red wire jumper connecting R-cooling to R-heating.  The Nest brand thermostats do not need a jumper as they are internally connected if needed by the electronics on the display unit.  For your needs, connect the red wire to Nest R, connect the green wire to Nest G, connect the Yellow wire to Nest Y, and the white wire to Nest W.
