Nest thermostat isnt working

I use a Nest Thermostat and this morning I received a warning the heat at my cottage went to 45 degrees. I am unable to get the furnace to turn on using my phone. From the app it states the furnace has not run since 8am this morning. Ive checked the internet and everything is working fine. Any advice?

It's possible that your Nest is stuck in Safety Temperature mode.  This is a known bug (well, known to this forum).  The workaround is to adjust your Safety Temperature to be well above or well below the current room temperature.  For some reason that knocks the Nest out of its zombie state, and you can control it normally again.  See for example https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/How-to-reset-Nest-thermostat-remotely/m-p/98...
