Nest thermostat lost WiFi and now won’t reconnect

My nest thermostat has lost connection. To my WiFi. Nothing has changed, I have worked through all of the troubleshooting tips, it sees the network but fails to connect when I put the password in.

That also happens when you connect via your phone also?

All other WiFi devices are working.

What is the answer? Does it connect via your phone?

What I was asking is, Does the thermostat connect to your phone Hotspot???

Sorry, I misunderstood.  No, it won’t connect to my phone hotspot either. It can see all the networks available but fails to connect when I try each one.

That’s odd f you can see all the networks. I would suggest a factory reset to clear any gremlins, then with luck you should be able to connect.

I’ve done a factory reset too and still having the same problem.

Silly question perhaps, but how did you factory reset?

Which model thermostat do you have, and how old is the set?

On the actual thermostat, I followed the instructions on the help page. I have ended up speaking to google nest though and they are going to send me a new device as it seems to be a hardware fault rather than just a glitch. Thank you for your help though.
