Nest thermostat not connecting to WiFi

I have been troubleshooting for over a week, Thermostat will not stay connected to WiFi.

Welcome to the club! Mine stayed connected for one and a half years then stopped connecting. Trouble shooting and get it connected to lose connection a day later. Nest will suggest changing router settings to circumvent their issue instead of offering a fix we all can use.

My HVAC technician says buy a Sensi thermostat as they are now reliable and stand behind their product.

I understand that wifi issues with your thermostat can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help. 

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

No, there has been no solution. I work out of state and can not run home to reset my wifi. This is no better than any wall thermostat.

I got it to work…not sure how long it will last though.

Oh I got mine to reset and work with a neighbor going in my house and a day later no connection again!!

Did you use the method of reconfiguring your router to give it a static IP address?
