I purchased a nest thermostat and have done all the required troubleshooting. During the set up, when it is searching for another device it doesn’t find one. My options are to exit or retry. When I retry it still doesn’t find a nearby device and set up is halted.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I’m having the same problem. We bought two, one installed perfectly, the other won’t connect.

I bought 2 as well and the first set up no problem the 2nd can't find the wi-fi. I followed all the troubleshooting directions with no luck.

I called the support number and the rep was able to walk me through setting up the 2nd device. It appears that they are too far apart to communicate with one another. One Nest is on the 1st floor and the 2nd that I was trying to set up was on the 2nd floor. I had to create a new account for the 2nd Nest and it connected. I can control both but have to switch between thermostats with the Google Home app.
