I have a Nest Learning thermostat already being managed by the Nest app on my android phone for the past several years.
I recently bought a non-learning Nest for upstairs. The instructions made me set it up with Google Home app. That app sucks, the scheduling system is horrible.
I'd like to have my Nest app manage this new thermostat too. The instructions say I can get the Entry Key by going into settings on the thermostat and choosing Nest App. But I don't see Nest app in settings. I see Equipment, Battery, Network, Version, Account, Restart and Factory Reset. Any ideas?

It sounds like you have purchased the Nest Thermostat (2020) which can only be managed in the Home app.
Here's how to check which model you have:

Hey folks,
Thanks for answering, davidking.
Jahanzebkhan67, I understand how you feel and thanks for sharing. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app.
Keep an eye out for news and updates.
Best,
Melba

I'm disappointed that I won't be able to use the Nest App. It's far more intuitive than the Google Home app. Scheduling temperatures in the Google Home app is messy at best.
