Nest thermostat to heat link connection lost

Lourenbl

Hi

we are moving house and as per the recommendation on this forum, I reset my thermostats to factory settings to erase all personal data. I had no issues with my upstairs/wired zone,  but my downstairs thermostat (on a stand) lost its connection to its heat link. I tried resetting the heat link etc, but still only get the H71 error code. PLEASE HELP as I cannot leave it like this for the new owner.

Thanks

That's nice to hear the forum recommended you to move, very thoughtful!

Your thermostat might be an umatched pair, try, in Equipment or in the listing you can see ''Replacing Heat Link'' in the options.

You will need the entry key found by the left hand fixing screw, or on the cover by the screw of the Heat Link.

This may be your problem, worth trying that first.

Hi @Lourenbl,

Thanks for reaching out. I'll do my best to get this resolved for you. Can you tell me the color of the LED on your Heat Link?

Regards,
Cristian

I also have a problem to get my nest to connect to the heat link, even turning my home router wifi off it can't connect to the heat link.

Hi @Lourenbl, @MAPZEUS, thanks for letting me know. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue, but we'll sort this out together. Let's start with a few questions:

What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
What is the color of your Heat Link's light?
How is the Heat Link being powered when you're trying to pair it?
What troubleshooting steps have you done before contacting us?
When was the thermostat installed?
When the unit was installed, did the display communicate with your Heat Link? If yes, how long after the installation did the issue occur?
Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the error persisted since this power cut?
Has there been any recent work done on your heating system?
What is the distance between the Heat Link and Nest thermostat? Are the Heat Link and display on the same floor?
