Nest thermostat went offline and won't connect to wifi - w5 error

My Nest thermostat went offline a few days ago and I can't get it to connect to my wifi anymore. I got the w5 error message and tried resetting my router and the thermostat a few times as instructed but that didn't help. I then tried restoring the Nest back to default/factory settings, which still didn't help and now I can't use the thermostat at all because it won't connect to the wifi/app.

W5 fault is common, wifi chip 99% of the time faulty

Before you reset anymore, take a picture of the fault both on the settings screen, and the network menu.

Contact Nest and tell them, you then have the proof the W5 fault with the picture.

They will ask for that and you account details
