Nest thermostat won’t connect to home app

I recently had two nest thermostats installed in vacation home. I created a new Home, connected upstairs thermostat but downstairs one won’t connect to app. The thermostat is connected to Wi-Fi. I’ve restarted thermostat and retried 3x. Any help is appreciated

To confirm, which model of thermostat do you have?

How to tell which Nest thermostat you have - Google Nest Help

Nest Thermostat must be setup using the Google Home app. All other models must be setup using the Nest app.

Edward- not anymore. 3 hrs with a rep from google and it was determined to be issue with the thermostat so sending a new one.
