Nest thermostat

When my heat is on, it blows cool air and tries to kick the AC unit on. I do not have a heat pump though. I have a yellow, white, blue, green, and red wires. I assumed my blue wire was the common wire and put it in the location labeled c in an attempt to fix it. Previously the blue wire was in the ob* location.

Hi Hterf,

Thank you for taking the time in letting us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

It appears that it's about incorrect configuration, which causes your AC to turn on unexpectedly. To isolate, do you mind me asking the make and model of your HVAC system? Also, could you please send us a picture of your previous thermostat wiring setup? This is to check your system's compatibility with the Nest thermostat.

I'll look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Mark
