Nest thermostat

I had the Nest thermostat I had to take it off the wall and put my old thermostat back on because I could not control my heat with the Nest thermostat the old thermostat is wired different it has a jumper wire between rc and rh can I use the same method on The Nest thermostat someone please help me😁
