I have a heat pump and electric furnace.
My current controller in our basement is an AUBE CT280-2H1C with 2 wires connected to TH conectors in the thermostat upstairs.
In my understanding of ht eAube thermostat , the device I have upstairs check the temperature and send signals to the controller to run the ventilation and power on the furnace or the A-C.
So how do I replace it with the Nest (3rd gen) and its temperature sensor I was given?

Most AUBE thermostat operate on line voltage of 120VAC or 240VAC and are not compatible with the nest thermostat. Your thermostat that you speak of is probably only got two wires connected to the back plate of it.
