My thermostat randomly stopped connecting to wifi. From a simple search I see that it’s a know issue with the wifi chip. I spent hours this morning chatting with nest support, doing all the troubleshooting I had already done on my own, to be told they will not replace unit because it’s out of warranty even though it’s a known issue with their products wifi chip. They refused to connect me to their boss & told me I needed to buy a new thermostat & they assured me the new one would work. In what world does that make sense? I will definitely be recommending that no one purchase any nest products in the future because nest won’t stand behind their quality.

The same seems to be going on with mine. Were you able to get a replacement?

Yup. I have the same issue. I’m rather annoyed. A $200+ thermostat with a known issue and they won’t replace it. UHG! How annoying.  NEST do better!!

I am having the same issue with mine.  No response as to how I can get a replacement. I have only had mine for a year.
