Nest won’t reconnect to Wi-Fi and rebooting itself

Hello community,

I have been struggling with my relatively new nest for a week now. It disconnected from Wi-Fi and I have reset the router several times and tried to reconnect without success. I also reset Nest a few times and no luck either.

When I approach the Nest, the screen is often dark and it takes a few minutes before the Nest is responsive for me to be able to change the temperature. It has now started rebooting itself.

this morning, I approached the Nest and it was in the middle of a reboot. Big “G” on the screen and circling colored dots until the temperature display came back on.

when it did come back on, the temperature in the house had fallen to 60 degrees with freezing weather outside. I am afraid we are going to end up without heat soon the way it is behaving!

We really need a fast resolution!

Still rebooting today. So far, I have tracked 30 self reboots with the nest. About to toss this thing and move on.

I understand how crucial it is to have a reliable heating system, especially in freezing weather. I'd be happy to shed some light on the situation here!

I appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting by resetting the router and the thermostat. A power-related issue and an update could be a possible reason for it to reboot constantly. To confirm, which Nest Thermostat do you have? Can you still navigate to its settings? If so, gather the power readouts in the Equipment settings or in the Technical Info settings and verify the software version.
