Installed the new Nest last night, I recieved the R wire code, cut the wire and reinstalled. I restarted everything, no change. Started a chat with Nest, no help. I walked away pissed off. This morning everything works with a new error N265 g wire. Called Nest the rep telling me I need a C wire. I have another Nest on the main air conditioner, works great. The new 2020 Nest on a second air conditioner needs a c wire and of course Nest Pro can fix that for you. Paying to have a Nest Pro tech to look at the issues. The thermostat works fine except for the error code. Not very happy with Nest. In searching the internet this seems to be a common problem, great job Nest.

First thing the Nest Pro tech said, "That's normal" He started over and rewired it, same error came up. He hooked up the blue wire to the unit and the Nest. The error still came up after the c wire was added. He went through the settings and got rid of the "g" wire error. $99 dollars later it is working without any errors.
