New Nest thermostat

Google home keeps telling me wrong Qr code when trying to set up on Google home. Then it says continue without QR code and ask for an 8 digit code. There is none, only a 6 digit code.

What model Thermostat are installing?

It just says nest thermostat and it looks like a mirror

From what I Understand, you can force that thermostat to restart by tap and hold the ring until the display goes blank the Google G shows up.  This is like pulling the power cord out of your PC.

Thanks for reaching out. If you have a mirror like thermostat that would be probably the Nest thermostat 2020. I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app and do a factory reset on your thermostat. It is supposed to display "Continue set up in the Google Home app".
