New Phone and number, can’t get into acct

I have an non-migrated Nest account.  The nest app accepts my username & password which are correct.  However, I recently got a new iPhone & phone number with Verizon.  My nest account has my former cell phone # associated with the 2 step authentication process.  Which I can’t do because I can’t even migrate the account now because I have to 2 step authenticate going through that process as well.

Google Nest's recommendation for non-migrated Nest accounts is: "If you plan to get a new phone number and stop using your old one, you should turn off 2-step verification before you deactivate your old line. Then you can turn 2- step notification back on with your new number." (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9295081?hl=en#zippy=%2Cchange-your-phone-number).

These are Google Nest's recommendations if you can't access your phone number or email to which the verification code was sent: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9295081?hl=en#zippy=%2Cif-you-cant-access-your-phone-nu....

I don't know whether Google Nest Support can offer another alternative, but you can reach them starting with this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
