No Entry Key on Nest Learning Thermostat

My Nest thermostat used to work with control from my iPhone.  I does not now.  I’ve followed the instructions using the QR code to get to where the Entry Key should appear on the thermostat, but the key doesn’t appear in the window.  What do I need to do to re establish control from my iPhone?  The thermostat shows that it is connected to my WiFi system.

Hi @Cmtecca 

1. On the thermostat, go to Settings > Reset > Account connection. If you don't see this option, you'll need to select All settings.
2. Follow the setup steps: Add your Nest thermostat to the Nest app - Google Nest Help

Setup your thermostat using the Nest app. The QR code and setup key are in the settings on the thermostat itself and are not printed on the device.

I have tried to connect with the QR code on the thermostat, but the App still wants the Entry Key, but the Nest doesn’t provide one, so I’m stuck.  Please advise further.  Thank you.  Charles

I think I replied yesterday (4/22), but the answer is that I have a Nest Generation 3 Learning Thermostat.  Your guidance to have it resume working with my iPhone would be much appreciated.

If you've reset the account connection or all settings (if needed), on the thermostat, by going to to Settings > Reset > Account connection. If you don't see this option, you'll need to select All settings.

Once reset, try these steps:

1. Press your thermostat’s ring to open the Quick View menu.
2. Choose Settings.
3. Turn the ring to Nest app and press the ring to select it.
4. Select Get Entry Key to retrieve a unique entry key.
