Not holding power

I’ve take this thing off and charged this thing manually, restarted it, cleared it and started over from scratch and resigned on, adjusted wires (it has a c wire)

IT. WILL, NOT. STAY. CHARGED.
It constantly goes off line and says it has too low of battery power to connect. I give up. Should I just throw it away? Get a regular old thermostat?

Do you have a voltage meter to see if your c wire is live? Might not be connected at the furnace itself.

I guess I’ll get one of those? Hardware store I assume? I’m also googling how to see if it’s connected to the furnace…  that’s something that would keep it from charging?

Check the C wire and follow its path into your furnace, if its connected then you should be okay, if its not connected then you dont even need the voltmeter, you would just need to connect it and proceed.  Yes you can buy a voltmeter at the hardware store, amazon, anywhere really 🙂 be safe of course, and if you dont feel you know what you are doing then by all means call in a pro!
