Saturday
Have just installed a Nest 3rd gen. Am in the UK.
Installation for me went OK except I was amazed I still needed to install the Nest app, and then very annoyed that the Home app only exposes a small amount of the settings for the Nest which is not what I was led to expect from articles such as Full temperature schedules for older Nest Thermost... - Google Nest Community
Anyway, I have a bigger problem for now - although the Nest does at least show up and allow limited functionality in my Google Home app, my other household members using the Google Home app on their phones (also Pixels) see the Nest show up but it is permanently offline.
Have seen a few other mentions of this problem online but it isn't clear what the fix is. I've tried installing the Nest app on their phones as well (arrrrgh) and signing in as me (makes no difference to the problem) or as them (set up never completes, gets stuck at the end and of the set-up wizard and goes back to the beginning).
Am not impressed. Every other (non-Google!) device I've added to my Home set-up shows up and works perfectly on my household's devices.
I set up Nest i.e. signed in to the app initially as my Google account (was this a bad idea?). My household members have limited rights in Google Home i.e. they are not admins.

@detetlow You could try removing their accounts from the home and reinviting them.
Manage people and permissions in the Google Home app - Google Nest Help
I'd also check they're using the latest version of the Google Home app, maybe even try removing it and reinstalling it. When installing it again, be sure to accept all the permissions prompts, especially for things like local network access.
