Hello -

I hope this message receives you well. I have a Nest (T3017US) learning thermostat 3rd GEN. It is connected to a standard HVAC home unit - Carrier 59TP5A
Performance Boost Two-Stage 4-Way Multipoise Condensing Gas Furnace Series 2. There is one condensing unit.
The two photos I am attaching are the old thermostat wiring, and how I believe the nest should be configured. The new grey has been configured as a C (common) wire.
There are times where the compressor does not remain active during cooling like the old thermostat when using the new Nest.
Please advise as to the proper wiring and compatibility. Thank you.

@MAM ,

You need to make a couple of changes.
The Orange wire needs to be placed on OB and the yellow wire need to be on Y1, the white wire goes on W2. And the Black wire needs to be attached to C. The Brown conductor wire and the gray conductor wire are not attached to anything.
