Problem with remote WiFi control

How can you see the Nest thermostats settings and control them remotely through the Nest app ? I can’t seem to find a way to do it though I know it can be done.

It depends on your thermostat.  If you have the Nest Thermostat, you can only control it with the Google Home app:
