R cable with RC jumper

Is my system compatible? 

i have Y G W R w/ Jump to Rc

During installation when I enter both R and RC in the app it tells me my system is not compatible. I believe I read somewhere that I Do not have to enter RC into the app. Can you confirm if this is correct. Thank you

Hi Jake,

My old thermostat has an Rc with a jumper to R, when I connect this to R of Nest the heating doesn't happen, the fan still blows. Is it not compatible?

I am sorry to hear you are having heating trouble. Do you mind sending in a picture of your current wire set up for me to review? I would like to take a closer look at the system and see if we can isolate the issue.

Is this R to Rc jumper compatible with Nest?

Hey Arandomj,

 

Nest Thermostat's are not compatible with jumper wires. If you have a jumper wire in your system, you will want to remove that wire when installing the device.
