R to Rc jumper

pkbooh

Hi,

I tried to read some other conversations but it's still not clear as to the solution for the R to Rc jumper. I have attached two pictures for reference. As you see the existing wiring on the wall is G, W, Y, R & Rc (R & Rc jumped). Please let me know if it's compatible and how I should wire it and if there is a need for C wire or should I just wire the red to R and leave Rc empty?

Ignore the jumper.  R & RC are just R.

Thanks, and the other as G W and Y put them in Y1 G1 or W1, right?

I believe so.  Just be careful on what the old screws are marked.  If you have a heat pump, or not.

In the app setup, you can double check your wiring.  I had to revisit mine, to get my fan (G) working.
