I have installed a new Google nest thermostat. The room temperature indicator on the nest doses not go down when the temperature in the room drops.eg room temp 18’ nest shows room temperature is 25. I have done the factory reset many times. Can someone help please to get it working properly.

Is your thermostat on heat or cool mode? If on heat for example, it won't automatically switch to cool, to lower the temp, and vice versa.

I have it on cool right now. We will start the furnace in 3-4 weeks. The room temp stays at 25-25.5 regardless how cold the room gets.

That is really odd. Lots of possibilities here. Is the thermostat in direct sunlight? Is it located on a hollow wall or very close to a heat vent? If not, then it could be a software error, or possibly even a faulty sensor.
Suggestion would be a factory reset , see if that helps. If not, then this may need to go to tech support or possibly warranty replacement.

It is really odd this is the 2nd one I am about to ship the first one back under warranty. It is on an inside wall,no direct sun light we are in a condo in between 2 units.the nest is on a wall that is in the middle of our unit.
