My uk nest thermostat failed with w5 Wi-Fi connection. Google have sent a replacement. I started setting it up but cannot get it to connect to the heat link. Do I need to do something to make the heat link look for the new thermostat?

Hi @TravisHesketh! Thanks for posting. In this case, if you scroll the error there should be a 'Replace Heat Link' option. Select that and after it will ask you to enter the entry key, which you can find on the bottom left side of the Heat Link, near the screw. Enter the key but don't press connect yet. Go to the Heat Link and reset it by pressing the button until the light disappears and appears again slowly pulsing blue. Please do that twice and after that confirm the key. Let me know how it goes.
