How do I migrate wiring over to Nest? I am a newb to all of this…
This is where I started on TRANE TCONT802AS32DAA:
this is where I am; nothing is working; none of my wires seem to be detected on Nest. Receiving a e298 error. Thinking my wires are in the wrong spots or an issue with my unit
@Patrick_Caezza i’ve seen your help posts on the forums. Any ideas? 🙏

FYI: capped black-X2 on migration attempt

You really need the Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Gen, as you have Emergency heat which the Google Nest Thermostat doesn't support.
Your wiring looks okay, but which wires did you select when the Home App asked during setup?
I suggest,
W/W1, Y/Y1, G/G1, R, C, and O.

Hey djj413,
I wanted to check in with you, and see if you are good to go. If you are still confused about the emergency heat, I found an article with more details on that. Please let me know if that helps out, or if you have any questions from here.
Thank you so much Patrick_Caezza for the helpful reply.
Best regards,
Jake

Thank you. I was struggling w/ the correct wires to select during onboarding. I’ll try those one you recommended.
assuming I upgrade to the 3rd gen, what would be the additional wire for the emergency heat?
