Hello and thanks for reading about my ongoing issues. My Thermostat Model 1.4 (mirror face) constantly disconnects from my internet wifi causing the unit to go OFFLINE. This completely defeats the entire purpose of having this apparently awesome unit !
I have exhausted ALL of the options suggested by HELP Blogs to correct this annoyance. This unit has a C wire and fresh batteries and the display says it is connected and the signal strengths are all good.
However, when I attempt to control my thermostat with my Iphone 6s periodically I get an OFFLINE just when I need to control it. I have to physically restart the unit at the wall on the main floor to get it back online again. This doesn't help when i'm upstairs in bed and want to lower the temperature!
I'm ready to return this unit for one that might not be faulty if that's possible to get a faulty one? I'm beginning to suspect an Android iOS war struggle going on as I have encountered, with streaming amazon content through my iphone?
I really like the Nest Thermostat but I'm ready to dis-respect it and toss it out the window!
