New Thermostat with no Display

I got a brand new Nest thermostat. When installing, the Nest display did come on when the battery tab was pulled, but now will not even with a change of batteries. It will not connect to the Google home app and I have never been able to connect it. Is it dead? Is there some way to test it?

Hi Eg1,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your new Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • What batteries did you use for replacement?
  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?

You could also click on this link for some troubleshooting steps you could try to isolate the issue.

Thanks,

Edward
