Just bought 4 nests for my 4 zones, baseboard hot water heated oil burner system. Zone 1 has 4 wires and does heat and AC. The other 3 zones just had 2 wires (R & W). My electrician installed all 4. The first one worked but the other three got the E297 message. I purchased the google power converters. The electrician installed them but still no power is going to the thermostats and now zone 1 is not working. He installed a new transformer as well because he was getting 27 volts but that had no effect. There were generic electronic thermostats in place originally so I assumed the nest would work. However now I think my system is incompatible. Any ideas?
PS - the zone 1 appears to be on. Claims it is heating but not heat is actually coming. Temp dropped 4 degrees overnight and generated a google warning email. I am heatless right now.
