Thermostat not connected

My Nest thermostat doesn’t connect to the wifi, this was replaced as defective,the new one connected to the internet for a couple of months then disconnected and giving an error,

tried resetting it all over and still cannot connect

Doesn't iOS turn off app permissions now? Try the parts cannon approach? If your internet equipment is over 3-5 years old, your ISP might give you free upgrades. Just be warned, the new routers do not let you go inside and toggle. Just on/off and password.

Another problem I had, was another smart device was acting as a DHCP server causing collisions.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. A few questions: did your Nest Thermostat can detect other Networks? What messages or code did you receive? Try connecting your thermostat to your mobile hotspot. Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for the replies above, my modem is the latest and my ios is always on (for location services) restarted the thermostat but its not picking the modem
