nest thermostat

the thermostat gives me an entry code however the code contains a dash and on the app there is no option for dash under entry code it only has letters and numbers

wondering if i should buy a different brand thermostat ahd throw this thing into garbage it seems that,sall it is since google has disconnected all support options perhaps legal action is required

The Nest App will display the entry fields for the code, the “dash” is automatically input by the app.  Just enter the letter and numbers as displayed on the Nest thermostat.  

And, if you relay want to give up your Nest Thermostat, I will gladly accept it from you and I will pay the shipping charges.

allready done that also used the mic to input the code via voice still nothing. incidentaly it is not a dash it is hyphen

 

i allready have done that many times unfortunately it does not seem to work i was able to do it with the first thermostat

and after several days with the second one but the third one does not want to accept neither the entry code nor the code scan even though i hwve reset the thermostat to factory settings .the only difference is the thermostat displays the same code always while the 2nd one i was receiving different code from nest every time i tried
