Recently moved into new home. Last owner  disconnected his account and now cannot connect thermostat to heat link. Have tried all directions from on-line pages and threads but nothing works. Thermostat connects to the new WiFi but cannot connect to Heatlink. Any suggestions please?

I assume you have tried Replace Heat Link when try to link, as you have tried everything?

What error message are you seeing?

Nest 3.
Constant blinking blue light.
Reset heat link multiple times, reset thermostat multiple times. Turned power on/off. Turned off WiFi during process. Followed suggested sequence from one of your community lists.

You did not confirm the above, did you try that?

Yes, tried it numerous times.

Do you have an error code on the screen?

Hi @JohnJF,

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m sorry to hear that you're having trouble pairing your Nest Thermostat to the Heat Link after moving into your new home. I understand how important it is to get your heating system back online, even after the previous owner recently disconnected their account. I appreciate you confirming that you already tried troubleshooting the thermostat itself. I'm happy to assist.

@Frustratedddd, Thanks for jumping in.

To gather the necessary information, please answer the following questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? The following article might be helpful: How to tell which Nest thermostat you have.
  • Could you please list the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far?
  • What's the status of the Heat Link's LED light?

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards,

Derick.
