Thermostat working but not showing in Nest app

Just added a nest thermostat to my google home app but it does not show up in my Nest app for some reason?

Which thermostat model is it?  The newer ones do NOT support the Nest app, only the "Learning Thermostat" does at this point among currently sold models.

In addition to what BinaryJay has mentioned, you can manage, change settings and control your new Nest Thermostat through the Google Home app only. We'll take this as feedback to improve our product and services.

That is the problem then.  Wish I knew that before purchasing the lesser model.
