Hi,
The Nest Thermostat is calling for a Nest Power Connector, and since the system has no C connection point, it requires a external transformer of 24VAC 20VA. Since I have a 24VAC 250mA transformer, which equals 24VAC 6VA, will it work? Has anyone tried this?

Hi dstrains,
Thanks for posting here in Community and I'm sorry for the late response.
Third-party C-wire adapters can cause problems or damage your Nest thermostat, even if they claim to be Nest compatible. Since your system has no C connection point, you have two choices: hire a professional installer to run a new C wire from your system to your thermostat, which can be expensive; or install the Nest Power Connector, which is typically easier and more economical and ensures compatibility and best performance with your thermostat.
Let us know if that helps.
Best,
Zoe
