I have a nest account from a long time ago, but am unable to migrate to a Google home account. Everything I try, I get an error that says my Gmail account is already tied to a different nest account... which is not possible, as this is the only one I have.

Just to confirm, are you trying to migrate your Nest account to the same Gmail address? If yes, you can link only one Google Account to one Nest Account. If the Google Account you want to migrate to is already linked with a Nest Account, you have two options. You can either:

Thanks! The problem is that I only have the one nest account, so I have no idea why Google thinks my Gmail account is associated with a different nest account.

Is your Nest account the same as the Gmail address you're migrating it to?

My nest account right now is am Outlook account. Google is forcing me to migrate it to a Gmail account in order to add other people to my house.

See attached. I try to migrate to my Gmail account, but get the error that says my Gmail account is associated with another nest account.
Then I logged in with the Gmail account, and it pops up an empty nest screen. I don't know how to clear it out so I can migrate over.

I was able to speak with Google support, who basically said there's no way to resolve my problem. So... I guess not.
