Understanding the scheduling

When I schedule a temperature change, for example for 74 degrees at 7am, does the system START the change at 7am or ATTAIN the change at 7am?

Hi AVLFiona828,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. That's a good question. When you set a temperature schedule on your Nest Thermostat, it will only change the temperature set on the scheduled time. However, if you want your thermostat to automatically calculate when to turn on heating or cooling so your home will reach a scheduled temperature on time, I suggest enabling your thermostat Early-On feature.

You can follow this guide:

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Nest Sense.
  4. Choose Early-On.

Best,

Jenelyn
