Unpaid for bad thermostat and no service!

Mslee2

I have the Nest unit in its box here! I had connectivity issues with the app and even manually it would not heat! It said 78 degrees, but was 52 degrees in my home and I was freezing! Evergy said they could “send someone 3 days later to check it or contact a HVAC service if you need heat and service before then!”

I had NO CHOICE! I have been with KCPL/Evergy for over 23 years and a very good customer, and I have been on autopay except paying the $50 for the Nest separately for all of that time! If I pay I should get the adequate service…..I am not being treated properly thus giving you a bad name!
Please prove you are upstanding and return my $50 for the NEST and reimburse me for the payment I had to give to Ultra Heating and Cooling to get my heat reconnected with a new thermostat! Thank you, LeeEtta Woods

Your energy supplier and the company you rented the Nest thermostat from was KCPL/Evergy and not Google. I am sorry you were having problems but your problem is not the responsibility of, nor created by Google Nest.  Whom originally installed the Nest Thermostat in your home? Was it installed correctly?  Your complaint is with KCPL/Evergy this is evident by your statement that you have been paying KCPL/Evergy $50 per month for the Nest Thermostat.  You need to look at the service agreement you have with KCPL/Evergy and seek a remedy there.  I wish you the best.
