Using Nest in multiple properties

Hi All,

I've seen on this blog that if you want to use nest thermostats in multiple properties you need to set up separate google accounts. However there appears to be a serious issue here. If you try open more than one google account with the same phone number, you are barred from doing so and you get a message saying this number has been used too many times.

If you then do manage to create an account without a phone number or the same phone number as you have used before, google then automatically blocks your google account for breaching their rules, and won't unblock after an appeal.

We have two thermostats under two google accounts that have both been blocked and we cannot gain access to these accounts or thermostats. This is clearly not sustainable as we try to roll out thermostats to our 50+ properties.

Nests' support has been hopeless and just referred me to the standard google account support page.

I think you would want separate Google Nest "homes/structures" on the same Google Account, rather than separate Google Accounts. However, Google Nest limits you to 5 homes. I don't know if Google Nest has a solution that will work with 50+ properties.

I'm not sure what can be done as a community. We still don't have a solution on how to set up multiple google accounts for our 50+ thermostats.
