Hello I ran the compatibility check it says it's not compatible. I have Rh to Rc jumper cable, Y,G,W cables. I try to ignore Rh RC cable and plug the Red cable to R and all the other in there designated spot but I am getting E294: R cable missing error. Can someone please help

Hi Aki91196,

 

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'm sorry for the delay. It looks like you have a conventional system. Most of the conventional system is compatible with the Nest Thermostats. I'd like to take a closer look at it. Could you please provide the make and model of your HVAC system?

 

Try to reconnect your red wire to the Rc terminal. If the issue persists, move the red wire from Rc to Rh. Ensure that all the wires are properly stripped and straight. Make sure to turn off your power breaker before touching the wires.
