Why is there no section on here for Europe or USA?

I have been asking for years WHY this forum cannot simply have a Europe section and a USA section!

WHY is that so difficult?

Most users come here and ask a question, but have no idea there are 2 types of thermostat. We then have to go through the same old story, where are you located etc., etc.

For goodness sake just have 2 sections, Europe - USA

I imagine because that would complicate things even more than they already are. Some products are not available in all countries/regions and even if they are, some launch in a set number of countries before expanding to others over time.

Specifically for thermostats, there are currently 6 models of thermostat:
How to tell which Nest thermostat you have - Google Nest Help

Device availability by country:
Learn about devices & services available in your region - Google Store Help

Sadly I cannot agree with that, as I first asked this question years ago. Then only 3 thermostats had been launched in most countries, but Google ignored the request. A simple tab when you click on thermostats as an example, then have a choice of USA or Europe would help to start.

Even the 2 links you show direct me to information.

Another simple request would be customer services, why make it hard to find for the new user? Anyone in the know understands, fill in step 1, then click any tab , then click next, then click next step. You are there, but Oh no Google want the user to go round the houses for contact.

Would be so much easier with a seperation of the country, Google can confuse when they feel like it though.

I know it sounds like a simple suggestion but this community runs on a platform called Khoros which is not bespoke to Google, and as far as I know there's no option to do what you're suggesting unfortunately.

I can sympathise with you on contacting support, although I will say it's much easier than most from what I've seen. Virtually every help centre page has a direct link to the contact us page, and although you do have to go through a few steps, that's there to help you get an answer more quickly if it's already answered by a help centre article or community topic.

Yes it is a simple suggestion.
