Wiring connection for Nest Learning Thermostat

I need help wiring a Nest Thermostat.   I have both a blue and orange wire and the thermostat has one O/B.  The photos show the current Honeywell thermostat wires and the furnace controller panel.  Thanks.

Hey JRozak,

Thank you for reaching out.

Based on the photo, it looks like you have a heat pump. Some systems only have 1 wire for the O/B and they can also be separated. In your case, you have a brown wire for O and blue wire for B. You are going to connect the brown wire (O) to the O terminal on your Nest Thermostat and the blue wire should go to the C terminal. This blue wire will serve as a common wire for your thermostat to have a stable power.

Check on this link to know more about thermostat wire.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Ryan

Hi -

I wired the Nest as you instructed above.   I turned the furnace on, but the Nest does not power up (Does not show the Home Icon).
