I apologize if this question has been answered but I can’t seem to find it. But if you only have the Nest thermostat, do you have to migrate over to a google account. Or can you continue to use the Nest app?
I hope we can just keep the app cause I really like it.

I have the same question. Will my Nest Thermostat and app continue to work after the 29th September without switching to the Google version?
Seems to have been very little notice and a bit confused.

Everything will continue working after 29th September, so fine to continue with the Nest app/Thermostat. Phew!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. No worries, only the devices that works with Nest are the ones that are no longer going to be supported via the Nest app by September 29th. Nest Thermostat is a product directly from Nest, so it will not be affected.
