confuce wire label for W/E

Hi,

I have checked if the thermostat is compatible with the NEXT and I saw that my old thermostat is showing the wire label symbol "W/E" and it doesn't appear in the list of wire labels, only shows alone "W" and alone "E".

for the above reason, I would like to ask if it is compatible with NEST.

Hey there,

Sorry for any confusion. I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. The E wire would be used for emergency heat. Do you happen to know if your system has this feature? If not, you will want to treat the wire shown as if it was the W wire. Please be aware that Nest Thermostats are not compatible with jumper wires, so you will want to remove that. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Best regards,
Jake
