nest E wiring, I have 5 wires coming out from wall R,G,Y,W1,W2 and my nest thermostat does not w2

i have 5 wires coming from wall  R,Y,G,W1,W2  . The nest thermostat i have does not have W2 but has O/B. So when i made a simulated run using Google home it showed i connect W2 to W2 but there is no W2 on nest

Try leaving W2 disconnected  tape off or cut off strip later. Should work on 1 stage of heat. W1 W2 are for single and dual stage heating.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. The *OB terminal in the Nest Thermostat E is for either emergency heat/auxiliary heat, heat pump, and stage 2 heating or cooling. As long as your system is working as it should, you don't have anything to worry about.
