thermostat after April 2024

Hello, I am reading that the Nest thermostat will not be supported by Google and we will not be able to use the app after April 2024.  However, will my home still be heated and can I use the thermostat by directly changing heating or Air conditioning on my wall physically?  Or due to discontinuing the app, means my home heating system in mid winter will shut down?  This is truly worrying me.

I don't think anything like that is going to happen. Where did you read that? Can you post the link?

Google Nest IS discontinuing support for the older Dropcam (introduced in 2012) and Dropcam Pro (introduced in 2013) cameras on April 8, 2024, as described in this post:
