BT SmartHub 2 - Google wifi pro with wired mesh

Hi,

I have just installed BT fibre broadband and have the ONT active. The kit came with BT SmartHub 2

I am renovating so have fully wired the house, with  3 wifi points (one on each floor).

I have purchased google wifi pro with 3 units to service each wifi point. I plan to connect hubs via main ethernet rather than daisy chain.

I have started to connect Google with BT and could do with some advice. I read that the SmartHub2 can be placed in Modem only mode. So with BT's help I think I have done that. I then connected my first google wifi pro (with ethernet from smarthub LAN to google wifi pro) and it asked for network name and pass. (I created the same as BT). it appeared to connect OK, but then I went to the next one in the mesh. Placed a unit on next floor, added ethernet cable and wifi would not connect?  questions:
1) does anyone have the same set up and can walk me through it. (BT smarthub and wired mesh (non daisychain)).?
2) where do I connect google to the BT ISP?

3) Is my speed impacted using the smarthub? or should I connect Wifi Pro to ONT (where do I connect BT ISP)?

Hi @sallyJ

It should work just fine if your BT Smarthub is in bridge/modem-only mode.

The best way to connect all the Nest Wifi Pro units is by using an unmanaged network switch. 😊

Thank you @RXShorty   my set up is a  a little bigger, as I have 3 switches- on on each floor. So 3 in total. My first router is working as per your setup, but I cannot get the other 2 working.. so from nest 1 I feed an Ethernet to a switch which in turn connects to the wired cabling. On the next floor, wired cabling to the 2nd and then out to another switch. So effectively 3 Wi-Fi stations on different floors. Any thoughts?
