Can’t setup Google Wi-Fi (app hangs out)

Hello,

I’ve just bought a Google Wi-Fi pack with 3 routers and I was about to return them when decided to give this a try 🤞

Ultimately I want to connect it directly to my ONT where the fibre arrives, replacing my isp router (BT). But for now I’m simply trying to connect it to the router Ethernet port and setup, and failing.

There are 2 scenarios:

1. I keep my phone on my Wi-Fi, and try to add the router using the app: the app finds the router, and when I click to add, after the first spin of the spinner it freezes.

2. I connect to the router Wi-Fi when trying to setup and it spins a lot, and eventually fails saying that can’t connect.

I tried to connect it directly into the ONT too, which has the same result as scenario 2.

any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?
