Google Nest Wifi Speakers crackling and Google assistant is now very slow to respond

Hi all,

Ive been using the google Nest Wifi 3 pack with the two extra mesh that have integrated speakers/ google assistant. curious if anyone has had one of the actual speakers start to die or crackle on them? how can you fix this. its only 2 years old.  Also, Im running 500mb wifi in the house and about 5 months ago, the google assistant portion seems to respond to commands after about 10 seconds of thinking, music requests or commands for lights and nest thermostat changes.... sometimes doesnt even respond. 

Has anyone had this happen? run speed checks constantly and all is well above 450-500mb.

Thanks for posting. I’m sorry to hear about your issue with your Nest Wifi points. Let’s see what’s going on.

A few questions:

• Is there any background noise in the area where your Nest Wifi points are? 
• How far are you from the Nest Wifi points whenever you try to command requests to it? 
• Do the Nest Wifi points respond better when you are nearer? If yes, how near do you have to be to have better results? 
• Does the same issue occur when other people speak to the devices? 
• Where are the devices placed? 
• Are there any microwaves or anything that can cause interference? 
• Is there anything that’s blocking the devices?
