Google WiFi no longer works as a facility to pause or control access to the wifi

I find Google WiFi to be redundant now. If I pause my son's WiFi he creates a new code and his device reappears within seconds as a new unnamed device. If I change the network passcode he just scans the qr code and gets back in.

Hello @CB

This is not the kind of problem that can be reliably solved at the network layer. I found the tools provided by Microsoft ("Family") and Apple ("Screen Time") to be much more effective ways to control total usage time. We also instituted a "no electronic devices in the bedrooms after bed time" rule that helped immensely.

Hi, CB.

I just wanted to check real fast to see if you saw MichaelP's response and to see if there's anything else I could do for you here. If so, just let me know.

Thanks.

Hi, everyone.

As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.

Thanks
